February is National AMD Awareness Month

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a common eye condition affecting people age 50 years and older. The condition may be associated with varying degrees of central vision impairment and can lead to loss of the ability to read, to drive a car, or see someone’s face if it progresses to more advanced stages in both eyes. If you are among the millions of people in the United States living with vision loss, you are aware of the emotional impact, psychological challenges, and necessary adjustments. Finding practical ways to accomplish routine daily tasks can be difficult.
