Samantha J. Dougherty, O.D., F.A.A.O

Samantha J. Dougherty, O.D., received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Shippensburg University. Dr. Dougherty then attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry in 2015. During her time in Memphis, Dr. Dougherty was a member of the Optometric Private Practice Club, Lions Club, and Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. She also served as a member of the student chapter of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity and attended a mission trip in Mexico, providing eye exams and glasses to locals in need.

After graduation, Dr. Dougherty completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Surgical Co-management where she gained experience treating and managing patients with glaucoma, corneal pathology, and diabetic retinopathy.

Prior to joining the practice, she worked extensively with patients after cataract and refractive surgery.

Dr. Dougherty is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

In her free time, Dr. Dougherty enjoys reading, cooking, wine tasting, and spending time with her dogs.
