Kerri E. Bakker, O.D.
Kerri E. Bakker, O.D. is a native of Washington, New Jersey. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame where she double majored in Pre-Med and Sociology. Dr. Bakker continued her education and received her doctorate from the highly respected Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. She was part of the first class to increase the amount of clinical rotations, which allowed her to train at such places as Luke Air Force hospital in Glendale, Arizona.
Prior to joining Clompus, Reto & Halscheid Vision Associates, Dr. Bakker spent four years working in a multi-disciplinary practice and surgical center specializing in Ocular Disease, Diabetes and Ocular Emergencies. She is PA Board Certified in Therapeutics and Glaucoma. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Optometric Association (AOA) and its contact lens section, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, the Pennsylvania Diabetic Eye Health Alliance, the Chester-Delaware County Optometric Society and the Optometric Honors Society, Beta Sigma Kappa.
Dr. Bakker will be providing Comprehensive Eye Exams, Treatment of Ocular Disease and Contact Lens Care in addition to Diabetic Education. She will also be the principal Optometrist at ‘The Dry Eye Center’ at Clompus, Reto & Halscheid Vision Associates.
Dr. Bakker played four years of Division I soccer at her alma mater, Notre Dame. Today, she continues her passion for sports by dabbling in soccer and softball. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her newlywed husband, John, whom she married in June of 2009.
